• Description: Utilizes the proprietary 30-pin Apple connector. Allows iPod controls through the vehicle head unit and steering wheel controls. Charges iPod when in use. Some premium audio units have embedded XM and conflict with the iPOD Interface kit. The 2009 Corolla and 2009 Matrix with Premium Audio (JBL) has embedded XM and conflicts with the iPOD Interface. Some base grade audio are not satellite ready. Either iPOD or Sat Radio can be installed, not both. Compatible iPOD Models: iPOD mini iPOD 4th & 5th generation iPOD nano 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation iPOD touch iPHONE .. The interface kit for iPod uses a proprietary 30-pin Apple iPod connector via connection point in the glove compartment to provide a direction connection from an iPod to the vehicle head unit- allowing the driver to control the iPod using either the steering pad or audio system controls. Connects through the glove compartment allowing the iPod to be concealed for protection.
